“The Institute of Physics employed PRM Diversity Consultants to provide an audit of its activities from the perspective of diversity. Within the science sector, the Institute has been a leading body in this area and it wished to have an independent review of how well diversity was embedded in the organisation. Evidently, this is a potentially difficult area, since there is a potential for staff to feel threatened and under investigation. Harish carried out interviews with senior staff across the organisation with great sensitivity and empathy. He managed to remain pleasant at all times, while encouraging people to be open and engaged with the process. Unusually for a study of this type, I have heard no complaints whatsoever from the staff involved. At the end of the process, Harish produced a report, which he was happy to discuss before it reached the final draft. I was impressed by the way in which he managed to understand the Institute, a fairly complex organisation, in such a short time.
